We plan terrace and poolside surfaces around the property’s levels, drainage and everyday use. Material choice is balanced with heat, slip resistance and maintenance, while edges, corners and transitions receive the same attention as the main paving.

Tile size & laying pattern
Large-format slabs, smaller modules and mixed-size patterns change the feel of a terrace. Layouts consider cuts, thresholds, steps and the proportions of the space.
Mitre cuts & edges
Mitred corners, step noses, coping and exposed edges can create crisp detailing where suitable. Tile thickness, support and edge durability guide the method.
Substrate & movement
Preparation, waterproofing where required, compatible adhesives and movement joints are specified for the surface and location, especially over occupied rooms.
Falls & drainage
Finished levels, channel drains and outlets are planned to direct water away from doors and structures. A new tile surface cannot correct an unsuitable drainage plan on its own.
Integrated lighting
Step lights, concealed edge lighting and cable routes are considered before paving. Service access and suitable outdoor ratings remain part of the detail.
